Social Enterprise start-up workshops



We offer a series of on-line half day workshops to people who are interested in starting up a Social Enterprise which will have positive impact on people and communities. You may feel ready to get started or just thinking about what you would like to achieve, or maybe you are already constituted but need to find ways to become financially sustainable.


The workshops are flexible so you can book a place on all of them, or pick and choose depending on what you feel you need. Workshopswill be available via Zoom or MS Teams for the forseeable future.



We have guest attendees at selected workshops to offer professional support and advice, and we also supply you with lots of templates, resources and guidance to make sure we have everything covered to get you started!


The workshops can be booked as a group session and we can also deliver them on an individual basis tailored to give bespoke support.

  • Business Planning: Deciding on your legal structure and what your business plan should include



  • Business registration and recruiting Directors: Forms, submissions and obligations



  • Financial planning: How to produce financial forecasts and ensure your business is viable



  • Bid writing and funding: Finding funding, intelligent bid writing and how to avoid common mistakes



  • How to complete a grant application: Practical exercise in completing a live bid document and exploring social impact measurement



  • Marketing: Sales, marketing and branding – identifying the difference and making it work for you



  • Feeling the fear: Looking at emotional and mental blockers to success and how to overcome them
